William Harris

Evening Custodian & Caretaker

William was born in the Philippines but raised in Durham.  He graduated from Jordan High School and served in the Navy, aboard the USS Thomas S. Gates. 

He has been working for Duke University for over 20 years, and has been focusing on the floors in Cameron Indoor Stadium for over a decade. It is a fringe benefit that he often gets to watch the basketball games there! We were fortunate that Triad Total Care assigned William to Wildflower as a contracted, evening custodian. William believes in the spirit of teamwork and goes the extra mile to show his care for the work and people of our school.

William is married and has two teenage/young adult children.  In his free time, he enjoys yard work, grilling, smoking brisket, and playing with his huge Cane Corso, Cosmic! 

Fun Facts:

• William is a Shellback. (He crossed the equator onboard the USS Thomas S. Gates.)
