Caton Cobb

Support Teacher, Preschoolers

Caton is from Roxboro, North Carolina. She recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Child Development (with a focus in Pre-K/Kindergarten and a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders). At Appalachian, she was inspired to learn about the Reggio Emilia approach, and all that is has to offer.

Caton has worked with children in a variety of settings as a gymnastics coach, a summer camp counselor, and a classroom assistant in a childcare center. Children have always been her passion because of their curiosity and amazement with the world around them–as well as their incredible imaginations! Her core belief is that children are competent and capable. As educators, it is our job to create an environment that supports this belief and gives children many opportunities to learn independently.

In her free time, Caton enjoys exploring nature, drawing, painting, and spending time with her friends and family
